Bosch : GSV 10.8 Power Driver marketing campaign
For the launch of a new lithium-ion professional cordless tool, Bosch wanted to promote both toughness and compact design. Aimed at a trade market, we produced a dramatic campaign based around our straight-forward copyline 'Try this for size'. Vinnie Jones was used as the face for the product, playing on his archetypal hard-man image.
Our Solution
To encourage customers to engage with the product, we also invented a product competition. Actual-size ‘cutouts’ of the ‘gun-like’ product were distributed in-store and customers were asked to photograph themselves in creative action poses using their mobiles. An overwhelming number of entries contributed to very strong sales, resulting in one of Bosch’s most successful launches ever.
