Clerkenwell Green are a different kind of caterer - their approach is personable and collaborative. ico created a brand that tells their story and perfectly reflects their friendly yet intelligent approach.
Catering for weddings, private and corporate events, Clerkenwell Green deliver both simple and intricate menus to suit a variety of occasions. They pride themselves on their approachability and personable service. ico were keen to develop a visual style and tone of voice that captured these aspects of their company, and were a strong point of differentiation for them.
We worked to create a series of brand stories that succinctly express the personality of Clerkenwell Green and also articulate what makes them different. Working with illustrator Matt Bauer, these stories were brought to life with illustrations used across the website, stationery and company literature.
We commissioned photography of their venues and events and chose an informal style that perfectly suits the brand. This mix of carefully considered photography and quirky illustration is perfect for a caterer that has partnerships and accredited status with many of the country's leading arts venues.
Clerkenwell Green's stationery and print literature is produced from partially recycled paper printed in two colours. This simple palette is replicated on the website, where colours and textures work together to give an overall honest look-and-feel.
The stripped back palette allows the photography of the food and venues to have real stand out. Other materials such as quote templates and menus have been produced to ensure consistency across all in-house materials.
