Originally part of SJM Building, they came to ico looking to differentiate themselves in their market and be recognised as providing bespoke, high-end and contemporary building solutions. The name Make was a deliberate challenge to the idea of 'building', and so implying their more creative offering. The simplicity of the name and the clean typographic treatment indicates a thoroughly modern proposition.

Make pride themselves on craftsmanship and care, we used the image of a ruler as the brand motif, representing precision. For printed applications we took this onto another level by laser-cutting the graphic. This was an ambitious production challenge that proved difficult to achieve, but this need for accuracy further reflected the values of the company. The final result was exact and an impressive visual demonstration of Make's own outstanding skill and service.
