Moore : Digital Print Book

A book produced to inspire clients with Moore's enhanced digital print capability. Whilst giving the reader a visually enthralling natural history lesson, the book clearly illustrates a surprising range of print possibilities.

Our Solution

Entitled ‘A Natural Selection’, the book hangs around the idea that digital technology is an exciting but natural evolution in print. The book opens with a family tree detailing the development of print technology through the ages, which leads into a Darwinian theme that opens up a magical specimen cabinet of stunning natural imagery. Many of these beautiful photographs were taken by Susan Middleton, a renowned natural history photographer.

Using an array of substrates and techniques, the book effectively demonstrates the potential of the latest digital technology. The small format and restrained cover belie the rich and varied feast of colour and texture within. Of particular note, in production terms, are the solid colours, smooth gradients and fine detail which should quash the myth that digital is litho’s lesser cousin once and for all.
